Molly’s Cupcakes
No Saturday is complete without gorging yourself on too much sugar. To celebrate a beautiful day in the Windy City, a few friends and I trekked up to Lincoln Park to acquire what some may call the best cupcakes Chicago has to offer.
I had never been to Molly’s Cupcakes, but as soon as I stepped in the door, I knew I was hooked. One sniff of the sweet bakery air is all I needed. Choosing which cupcake I would feast on, was quite possibly the hardest decision I’ve made since the college selection process. With rows and rows of decision treats, how could anyone just pick one? Well after being prodded by the patrons in line after me, I finally settled on Cookie Dough.
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Can we just talk about the amazingness of this cupcake for one second. I know many people wonder how it is possible to go crazy over a cupcake. I know, it is just a cupcake. But you are no longer allowed to say anything until you sink your teeth into one of these. Vanilla cake with an actual cookie dough center. Like the cookie dough you used to sneak out of your grandma’s refrigerator every time she made chocolate chip cookies. And I hate to say it Grams, theirs is probably better.
My first visit to Molly’s was a success I’d say. I can’t wait to go back… next Saturday?
